Dear Village residents:
We’re excited about the debut of TriVillage Magazine, a new way of keeping you informed about Marble Cliff news and newsmakers.
Many residents locate in the Village because of its charm, beautiful homes and excellent school and library systems. We hope that the information on this page and throughout the official magazine of Marble Cliff will help you feel more connected to your neighbors, area businesses and Village government.
We encourage you to submit news items of broad community interest in writing to
www.m
arblecl.rrcol, or deliver them in person to Village Hall on Fernwood Avenue. Photos are welcome too. We’ll publish as much newsworthy information as space will allow.
All of us at Village Hall wish you and your families a safe and fun summer!
Kent Studebaker
Mayor

Marble Cliff students awarded scholarships
The Paul J. Falco Scholarship Committee announced that it has awarded 2010 scholarships to five Marble Cliff students: Paige Lachey, Kyle Ellis, Elizabeth Steen, Carson Dull and Eric Dull. The awarding of scholarships was based on scholastic achievement, character, extra-curricular activities and service to school and community.
The annual scholarship was endowed by the late Paul J. Falco, who served as mayor of the Village of Marble Cliff for 36 years. Mayor Falco was an ardent supporter of the village and its residents. It is through the generosity of the late Mayor Falco and his spouse, Bobbie Hall Falco, that these awards can be made.
To be eligible for consideration, a student must be a resident of the Village of Marble Cliff for at least one year, in high school and must have a 3.0 grade point average or better.
Council Member Jack Kukura, chair of the scholarship committee, applauded these students for their achievements. “It is very impressive that a community the size of Marble Cliff can boast of so many talented youth as residents. We are honored to be able to assist in furthering their education.”
Music in the Park scheduled
The annual concert featuring the Grandview Heights Marching Band will be held on Sunday, August 22, 2010 at 7 P.M. in Falco Park on Fernwood Avenue in Marble Cliff. Please bring chairs and blankets.
