Cityspace, an urban real estate developer, will unveil The Jeffrey, a 98-unit luxury projected in Italian Village, this weekend.
The Jeffrey compound, formerly The Jeffrey Manufacturing Company, is comprised of two unique structures including the original World Headquarters, built in 1924, and its adjacent Research and Development building, now called the Metal Works. The project will be on display during its kick-off event June 2.
On June 2, the past and present of The Jeffrey will be on display both at the Trace Gallery, 11 Price St., and the Grand Lobby of The Jeffrey, 224 E. First Ave. A courtesy Cityspace shuttle bus will escort visitors between the gallery and the lobby throughout the evening.
The Jeffrey features 46 unique floor plans, for many personalities and styles. Tenants will have a limited opportunity to reclaim one of the 65 one or two-bedroom classical-revival designed units, or one of the 33 raw loft-style spaces in the industrial Metal Works buildings.
Cityspace retained the original floor to ceiling marble in the Grand Lobby to reflect the elegance of The Jeffrey's world headquarters 83 years ago. Today, the same elegance is a standard feature throughout each residence. Renewing the original character of the building, unit interiors are refined with crown molding, coffered ceilings, hardwood flooring and the finest period reproduction fixtures.
Additionally, The Jeffrey includes a fully appointed lobby complete with expresso bar, billiards room and lounge area. The Grand Lobby is adorned with fresco art commissioned by award-winning local artist Paula J. Nees.
