In celebration of the Ohio Theatre’s 80th birthday, CAPA will offer a nostalgic return to the late 1920s with a film double feature, an antique car show, and an ice cream social on Friday, June 27.
Beginning at 6:30 p.m., members of the Scioto Model ‘A’ Ford Club will display their 1928-1931 antique automobiles in front of the Ohio Theatre, 39 E. State St. Ford’s Model ‘A’ is also celebrating its 80th birthday.
Beginning at 6:45 p.m. in the esplanade adjacent to the theatre, CAPA will serve up free Velvet Ice Cream to the first 500 people.
At 7:30 p.m., the CAPA Summer Movie Series pairs two timeless comedies in a double feature delight, The Marx Brothers’ Duck Soup and W.C. Fields’ It’s a Gift.

Day-of-show tickets are $3.50 and go on sale one hour prior to show time at the Ohio Theatre kiosk. Senior citizen tickets are available for $3.
Now through July 6, strips of 10 tickets are available for $21.50, a savings of $1.35 per ticket, and can be purchased at the Ohio Theatre ticket office (39 E. State St.), www.ticketmaster.com, or by calling (614) 469-0939. Strip tickets are good for any film in any combination. All tickets are general admission and seating is on a first come, first served basis.
