Salty Caramel and Thai Chilli are headed to Bexley. Plaza Properties announced that Jeni's Ice Cream and its nationally-renowned eclectic flavors will occupy the last street-level retail space at the Bexley Gateway, corner of Parkview and Main streets.
Jeni's joins restaurants Mozart's and Rusty Bucket Tavern and is set to open in the early spring.
"We are ecstatic that Jeni has decided to join us at Bexley Gateway," says Larry Ruben, CEO and president of Plaza Properties. "We set out in our original vision to achieve synergy with high quality tenants and we achieve just that with Jeni's."
Jeni's Ice Cream was founded by Jeni Britton and Charly Bauer in 2002 from a North Market merchant space, which is still in operation. In 2006, Jeni's opened in Grandview, and in August, a store opened on High Street in the Short North. Jeni's also has an active Web site at www.jenisicecreams.com, and is also sold through Dean and Deluca, a national gourmet foods retailer.
"We've been serving and delighting Bexley residents for years," Britton says. "Making Bexley Gateway our fourth Central Ohio retail location was an easy decision."
