Stinger’s Best Bets at the Arena
The Blue Jackets set CityScene up with an interpreter to speak with Stinger (we’re a little rusty on our bee-speak) who gave us his favorite things to do at the Arena.
Pregame:
-On the concourse: The Pepsi power patrol seeks out fans to participate in on-ice intermission games, timeout contests and Zamboni rides.
-On the ice: Pepsi Power Patrol shoots T-shirts at the audience with the Mountain Dew “Dewmolisher” T-shirt cannon
-Fans can take souvenir photos with the Columbus Blue Jackets Signature Cannon.
-Live bands play music before the games to get fans pumped!
During the game:
-Chipotle crews drop burrito vouchers and t-shirts from the rafters in tiny parachutes.
-IGS Energy Blimp flies around the arena dropping autographed merchandise like hats, shirts and gift cards to the Fox Sports Ohio Blue Line.
-Intermission contests like the “Hamster ball,” when contestants see who can run a human-size hamster ball past the finish line first. You have to see “human slingshot” to believe it.

Hamster Balls: Climb inside and outpace your opponent
Live Entertainment:
-“Boom Jackets” drum line – a powerful live drum line that will get your feet stompin’.
-Live bands during timeout or intermission – they keep the tunes flowing and the energy high.
-Live DJs on the concourse – spinning the hits for the whole family.

Skate on the Ice Haus
-Pre- or post-game public skating sessions are offered during select game nights, while adult fans (18 and over) are invited to the Saturday Night Skate every week from 10 p.m. to 11:45 p.m.
For the kids
-Stinger’s Clubhouse – Join me, Stinger, in a fun play area on the main concourse just for the little ones!
-Pepsi Power Patrol gives away balloon animals and CBJ temporary tattoos to kids before the game so they can carry the flag too!
