Snug Harbor Continues to Set Sail
Editor’s note: This is Part V in a series of articles about the Snug Harbor development at Buckeye Lake.

With money tighter, home inventories high, an economy that is either in or on the brink of recession, a weak U.S. dollar, and lower demand for housing, Snug Harbor at Buckeye Lake continues to sail forward.

In the midst of all the gloom and doom on the housing front, one remarkably bright statistic was recently announced by The National Association of Realtors (NAR) that the second home vacation market remains bright. According to a survey released in March by the NAR, about one-third of all home buyers last year were purchasing second homes.

For most people, the second home market is a bit different from the one driven by primary home buyers. Second home buyers have more discretionary income, and there are those who purchase a second home now for full-time use later.

“With Snug Harbor’s waterfront location, creative land planning, successful pre-sales during construction, and long-term financing in place, our team can focus on bringing to market the product and price points that the current marketplace dictates” says Developer Marty Finta.

“We are focusing on the opportunities that differentiate Snug Harbor from the marketplace” Finta adds.

Triglyph Development Company is currently focusing on bringing to the market vacation homes located in the Wharf District and luxury homes located in the North Harbor District. The homes are being designed by renowned architect Gary Bruck of Sullivan Bruck Architects.

Triglyph is also continuing to build the resort-style amenities found at Snug Harbor, including a private club with a “members only” spa, and fitness and dining facilities; the Old-Fashioned Ice Cream Parlor and Candy Shop; a bakery and coffee shop; various restaurant options; a community center; boardwalks and walking trails; a Nature Center and recreational fields; and more.

“We now have six homes nearing completion, with the first homeowners moving in soon. The mix of vernacular, texture and color has defined the fabric of this resort community as something totally unique to this region,” Bruck says. “Snug Harbor will stimulate all of your senses and bring a smile to your face!”
