Sister Bond
Thurber House welcomes Julia Glass

Thurber House Evenings with the Authors presents Julia Glass at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 15 at the Columbus School for Girls, 56 S. Columbia Ave.

Glass, bestselling author of Three Junes, the winner of the National Book Award for Fiction, will read from her new novel, I See You Everywhere, a story that spans 25 years and is told in the alternating voices of two sisters, one who is brainy and cautious, the other, wild and adventurous.

I See You Everywhere is Glass’ third novel. The story explores the topic of women’s competitiveness with other women through the relationship between sisters Louisa and Clem Jardine. Glass also brings strong, autobiographical overtones into play, recalling her own sisterly bonds.

The complex mix of love and jealousy that existed between Glass, the cautious intellect, and her sister, the adventurer, ended with a tragic loss. Louisa and Clem ride a similar roller coaster of emotions, moving through the full spectrum of devotion and distance.

Following the reading, Glass will take questions, chat with the audience about her writing and sign books that will be available for purchase.

Tickets are $18 in advance, $20 at the door, with discounts for students and seniors. For more information or to purchase tickets, call 614-464-1032 or visit www.thurberhouse.org.
