Gahanna provides 2008 Parade of Homes backdrop
Mature woods, wetlands and nearby parks highlight this year’s BIA Parade of Homes site at the Village at Hannah Farms in Gahanna. The 2008 BIA Parade of Homes, June 14-29, will feature seven homes amidst the park-like setting that characterizes the Village at Hannah Farms in Gahanna.

“We’re thrilled to have Hannah Farms as the site for this year’s event” says Jim Hilz, executive director for the BIA. “The Parade hasn’t enjoyed a site like this in a long time, if ever. Attendees will not only be able to experience the best in class in homebuilding, but also see how natural elements can enhance the home and community.”

The appeal of the BIA Parade of Homes has always been the properties featured. Tens of thousands of attendees use the two-week event to glean ideas and hone their own version of a perfect home. With such a beautiful and natural setting for this year’s home, and the addition of an environmentally friendly “green” home, the Parade will draw the attention of those who are interested in bringing their homes closer to nature.

Seven wonderfully designed homes will provide ideas and inspiration to visitors as well as an understanding of new technologies and “green” building practices.

This 2008 BIA Parade of Homes runs June 14–29. Builders for this year’s parade are:
• Fischer Homes
• Key Homes
• M/I Homes
• Manor Homes
• OS Homes
• Trinity Homebuilders
• Tuckerman Home Group

The Village at Hannah Farms has been developed by Manor Homes and is situated on 40 acres inside the City of Gahanna. The development boasts a strong connection with nature including an extensively landscaped entrance, two wetland reserve areas and a leisure path that connects to the City’s Hannah Farms Park. Many of the parade homes will back up the reserved open space. Manor Homes transferred 8.94 acres to the City of Gahanna which will become part of the Hannah Farms Park and remain as a wooded reserve within the 31-acre park. The city recently announced the allocation of 2.5 million dollars for park improvements.

“This community has amazing things to offer residents,” says Brad Yates of Manor Homes. “Eventual home owners will be able to marry the luxuries of a new home with the maturity of this serene setting,”

An additional athletic field, park and three golf courses are within two miles of the site. Easy access to Easton Town Center will offer residents the convenience of retail, restaurant, and entertainment opportunities.
