It's hardly "outta nowhere," but if you win a raffle, you might just feel like a "Cinderella story."
The Dublin AM Rotary Club will present its 20th annual Caddyshack fundraiser at 6:30 p.m. May 8 at the Crown Plaza Dublin. This charitable event raises raise funds for the many community projects the Rotary club sponsors.
Members of the club, along with local Columbus-area businesses and organizations, have donated items of value such as art, jewelry, gift certificates for dining and spa services, resort vacation trips, sporting packages, golf packages and more for the fundraiser's raffles.
"In the past we have hosted a silent and live auction, but we thought we would try something different this year," says event co-chair Jack Curtis. "The feedback we are getting is tremendous. And people can purchase as many raffle tickets and enter their tickets for the specific packages they hope to win."
Curtis said the raffle packages range in type and value, from a Blue Jackets hockey package to a one-week stay at a luxury condo. Raffle tickets will be sold in advance and at the Caddyshack event. The cost is $5 for one, $20 for five tickets and $100 for 25.
Raffle prize winners will be drawn during Caddyshack in addition to a cash reverse raffle.
“Winners do not have to be present to claim their prizes, but this is going to be a wonderful event with great food and entertainment – we encourage the public to join in the fun,” Curtis says.
The cost to attend CaddyShack is $35 per person.
