Help will arrive for many innocent civilians in Sudan and Chad who have been forced to flee their homes and live in refugee camps due to genocide.
At a special Save Darfur Benefit at Cowan Hall on the Otterbein Campus, April 4, from 7-10 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.), live music will be performed and donations collected to help more than 3.5 million men, women and children completely reliant on international aid for survival. Local musicians from Otterbein College and Central Ohio will join forces with artists from Tennessee and North Carolina to support the worthy cause.
Admission is free for Otterbein students. Others are asked to make a $5 donation to Save Darfur. No advance tickets are needed for the show. The event, sponsored by the Campus Programming Board, will be broadcast live on WOBN 101.5 The Rock, Otterbein’s campus radio station and on www.wobn.net.
"This is a great opportunity to raise Darfur awareness, and for Americans to do their part in helping the people of Sudan and Chad," says Greg Hale, lead singer of participating band, Morning Round.
Proceeds from the evening will go to the National Save Darfur Charity. For more information visit www.savedarfur.org.
