Private Lives, by Noel Coward and directed by Doreen Dunn, will kick off the Otterbein Summer Theatre season, playing June 21-24, June 28-30 and July 5-7.
Revived in 2002 by the Royal National Theatre, Private Lives is about Elyot and Amanda, once married and now honeymooning with new spouses at the same hotel.
From July 12-15 and 19-21, The Batting Cage, by Joan Ackermann and directed by Ed Vaughan, will be featured. In a Holiday Inn in romantic St. Augustine, Fla., two estranged sisters travel unlikely journeys as they struggle to regain their bearings after the loss of their much-loved third sister.
Finally, The Spitfire Grill will be performed July 26-29, Aug. 2-5 and Aug. 9-11, with music and lyrics by James Valcq, lyrics and book by Fred Alley and directed by David Caldwell. A feisty parolee follows her dreams, based on a page from an old travel book, to a small town in Wisconsin and finds herself working at Hannah's Spitfire Grill.
