With its new Center for Equine Studies nearly complete, Otterbein College will host its first Intercollegiate Dressage Association show at the facility at 9 a.m. Oct. 24. The center is located at 600 N. Spring Rd. in Westerville.
Admission and parking for the show are free and concessions will be available during the event. Parking is available at the center, with overflow parking available at nearby Heritage Middle School or Robert Frost Elementary School.
Otterbein will have two teams of four riders each competing at the show. Riders at these shows earn points as individuals and as teams to qualify for the national championship competition, which is held in the spring. Two national champions at the 2009 competition were Otterbein students, and the school's team is ranked fifth in the country. Other colleges attending the Oct. 24 show include Bethany College, Miami University, the University of Findlay, College of Wooster and the University of Kentucky.
