Once Upon a Time ...
The Phoenix Theatre for Children will present the classic children's story Hansel & Gretel Feb. 13-22 at Studio One in the Riffe Center, 77 S. High St.
Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Fridays, and Saturdays and Sundays at 1 and 2:30 p.m.
Hansel & Gretel is the story of two hungry children who become lost in the woods and discover a cottage made of cookies, cake and candy. They can’t help but break off little pieces and eat them.
Presented with a combination of puppets and live actors, this classic Grimm fairy tale follows the adventure that ensues when the children must battle an evil witch and save themselves through teamwork, resourcefulness and self-reliance.
The producation is recommended for children 4 years and older with a running time of 50 minutes. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children and can be purchased at the Ohio Theatre Ticket Office, 39 E. State St., all Ticketmaster outlets, and at www.ticketmaster.com.
