Doctors raising money for kids with cancer

Doctors Heather Peery and Troy Walker of Advanced Wellness, who are both Upper Arlington residents, are spearheading the fundraiser. The event will donate new patient visit fees, as well as donations from other patients and community members, to buy bicycles for young cancer patients and their siblings.

The bikes will be distributed at the Kids N’ Kamp Christmas Party Dec. 7. For more information on how to donate, call 614-488-6820 or visit www.awcchiropractic.com.

A Web site devoted to all things Upper Arlington, UASupersite.com, marked its five-year anniversary on July 4.

The site is run by UA resident Margherita Finelli and includes community event listings, business information, historical background and much more. According to Finelli, the number of people who check her site continues to grow, with 700 alone signed up for the site’s e-newsletter.

“I get more and more e-mails from community groups and more e-mails from residents with questions on where to find this or that,” she says. “I’m happy to direct them to the proper source of information. I expect another five years of being a community resource for residents.”
