COSI will present Mistology: The Science Behind the Cocktail on Feb. 4 from 6-8 p.m., an after-hours event featuring hands-on demonstrations, food and drink.
If you've ever wondered how you can keep carbonation in champagne; why bartenders always pour the alcohol in before the mixer; or if a garnish really influences the taste of your cocktail, this event will pique your interest.
The event, sponsored by Canadian Mist, begins at 6 p.m. with an interactive presentation from Canadian Mist’s Chief Entertaining Officer (CEO) Tim Laird.
Laird is the master at mixing cocktails and will be on hand to answer any science-related questions.
After the presentation, attendees can apply what they learned with hands-on demos. If you prefer to kick back and let others do the work, there will be a bar staff on-site and plenty of appetizers to enjoy.
Admission is $15 per person and is open to anyone 21 years of age and older. All proceeds will benefit The Walters Art Museum.
Space is limited. RSVP to Phyllis Kelly at , or 1-800-268-7266.
