Web savvy fans and followers of the Memorial Tournament now need look no further for tournament updates than their Facebook page.

Memorial officials announced April 27 they plan to use the popular social media Web site and Twitter to release select player commitments and special news for the 2009 Tournament, according to a press release.

Fans following the tournament via Facebook and Twitter will receive three player commitments per week until the final field is established May 29. Player announcements will include short bios and photos. The Memorial Tournament will be held this year June 1-7.
