Memorial Tournament benefit concert to feature funk band

Would you like a little groove with your golf tournament?

In final days before the Memorial Tournament tees off, funk group Robert Randolph & The Family Band will perform May 22 at Digger & Finch Fine Scottish Grille and Pub (6720 Riverside Dr. in Dublin). The concert benefits the Memorial Tournament Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Nationwide Children's Hospital.

Led by its namesake, a pedal steel guitarist, Robert Randolph &The Family Band has been playing multicultural, rock-infused funk and soul music since 2001, when the group formed in New Jersey. The group has appeared with various notable artists: it toured with Eric Clapton in 2004 (Clapton also appeared on the group's 2006 album Colorblind), and they are scheduled to perform with Kid Rock and Lynyrd Skynyrd in July. Other collaborations include work with O.A.R. and The Dave Matthews Band.

Tickets to the show cost $175 per person; all proceeds are donated to the Memorial Tournament NICU at Nationwide Children's Hospital. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the show begins at 8 p.m.
