The Otterbein College Department of Music will present a Homecoming concert celebrating the 150th anniversary of the College’s choral program at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18, at Church of the Master United Methodist, 24 N. Grove St., Westerville. The concert is free and open to the public.
The choir will be comprised of more than 150 Otterbein alumni choir members. Previous Otterbein choir directors David DeVenney, David Clark Isele, Dennis Kratzer, Lynn Roseberry, and William Wyman will return to campus as featured guest conductors.
Current Otterbein choral faculty members Gayle Walker and Craig Johnson will also conduct.
The program will include works by composers such as Brahms, Faure, and Westerville’s own Benjamin Hanby, as well as an original composition by David Clark Isele and original arrangements by Isele and David DeVenney.
