Tartan Fields Golf Club hosting Charity Golf Outing

Detroit Lions' wide receiver and Columbus native Mike Furrey will host a roster of sports celebrities, including Isaac Bruce, Kevin Curtis, Marshall Faulk, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Jon Kitna, Donnie Nickey, Dan Orvlosky, William White and others, for the Mike Furrey Foundation Celebrity Golf Outing on June 26 at Tartan Fields Golf Club.

 

The Mike Furrey Foundation is designed to improve the lives of those who are hungry, homeless, hurting and/or hopeful. Money raised at the golf outing will benefit Central Ohioans served by Lutheran Social Services.

 

The tournament begins at noon with a shotgun start and will feature a scramble format where each foursome is paired with a celebrity for the day. Select holes will feature prizes. A dinner, auction and awards ceremony will take place immediately following the event.

 

Dragonfly Neo-V Celebrating Seven Years

Dragonfly neo-v cuisine, 247 King Ave., will mark its seventh year of business with a weekend of special events June 29 and 30.

 

The anniversary will include a book signing with Dragonfly garden designer Jennifer Bartley, a music revival party, a biodynamic wine tasting and a multi course seed to table dinner featuring produce from the Dragonfly garden.

 

Proceeds from the auction of dinner for two at the Dragonfly Chef's Table will benefit community garden projects.

 

Dragonfly neo-v cuisine is the brainchild of husband and wife restauranteur team Magdiale Wolmark and Cristin Austin. The nationally-acclaimed gourmet vegan restaurant has been recognized in publications all over the country.
