Go Wild for Opera
Jack Hanna joins fundraiser lineup

Opera Meets Broadway during Go Wild! for Opera at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium on July 16 at 7 p.m. Go Wild! for Opera, an event that attracts music and animal lovers alike, is an evening of entertainment and culture presented by NetJets.

The event is hosted by FACES, The Columbus Zoo & Aquarium's young professionals group, and OPERAzzi, Opera Columbus' young professionals group.

Jack Hanna, Director Emeritus of the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, will be in attendance at the event. Additionally, the evening is in honor of Hanna, due to the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium’s extraordinary support of Opera Columbus.

Go Wild! is an entertaining and beneficial way for Opera Columbus and The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium to join forces and celebrate all that Columbus has to offer,” says Hanna. “I’m excited to be part of such a unique and exciting event.”

The event features performing stars Jessica Grové, a Columbus native and Broadway performer, David Gagnon, a frequent Opera Columbus and Broadway performer, Sari Gruber, a New York City Opera vocalist and 2005 Opera Columbus performer, and Mark Andrew Baker, a Columbus native and frequent Opera Columbus artist. The Opera Columbus men’s and children’s chorus will perform along with local celebrities Chuck Gillespie and Cabot Rea.

Opera Columbus and The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium have been coming together to produce and present the fundraiser, Go Wild! for Opera since July 2003. Patron tickets, including dinner, are set at $75. General admission is at $25 and child tickets are at $10 for a limited time only. All proceeds from the event benefit the two organizations.
