Pianist Lorie Line will hit the road in April, bringing her show to Columbus and almost 100 other stages across the United States for her largest tour ever.
Known for her famous story of being discovered in her hometown of Minneapolis while serenading shoppers, the pianist will bring her intimate "unplugged" tour on the road with five members of her 10-member Pop Chamber Orchestra.
Line has been touring for 16 years. Her tour will highlight her best original work and music from her two previous PBS shows. She has released 28 albums and has published 20 books of music for piano players. To date, Line has sold over 5 million albums.
Included on tour will be Kirk Johnson, drummer; Michael O'Brien, bassist; Kenni Holmen on woodwinds; Dave Budimir on trombone; and Bruce Kurnow on harmonica.
Line plays at the Capitol Theatre at the Riffe Center downtown on April 20 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available at www.ticketmaster.com, or by calling 614-469-0939.
