Inaugural Dealer’s Choice Expands
Seven local galleries will each have an area at Capital University’s Schumacher Gallery to showcase a variety of pieces from artists they represent. The collected works feature a mélange of art, and a unique experience in the Midwest.

The scope of Dealer’s Choice has widened to “deal in” an exhibit of student work at the Bexley Monk as well as new work by Michael McEwan, Capital University Artist-in-Residence and visiting professor, being shown at Giuseppe’s Ritrovo. Both restaurants are within walking distance of the Schumacher.

Dealer’s Choice is a unique way to see the work of many artists represented by several galleries in a casual, inviting environment. This exhibit promotes Bexley as an emerging arts district anchored by the Schumacher Gallery at Capital University.

Participating galleries include: Art Access, fine art, corporate and residential; The Sherrie Gallery, high end ceramics; The Hawke Gallery, the region’s leading art glass gallery; Bryan Roberts Gallery, Hammond Harkins Gallery, The Keny Galleries, and Sharon Weiss Gallery, all primarily showing paintings with a few sculptures.

Dealer’s Choice is a free exhibit at the Schumacher Gallery, located on the 4th floor of the Capital University’s Blackmore Library, at the corner of Drexel and Main streets in Bexley. It runs March 5-30, with a Meet-the-Artists opening reception on Friday, March 9 from 5-7 p.m.
