High school hosts hoops fundraiser

 

The Huntington Disease Society of America will present Shoot for a Cure Hoop-A-Thon from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.  April 10 at Upper Arlington High School, 1650 Ridgeview Rd.

 

According to the event brochure, the Hoop-A-Thon is a basketball free throw event to benefit the HDSA, a national non-profit agency that promotes and supports research of Huntington's Disease, with the ultimate goal to find treatments and a cure. One hundred percent of the proceeds will go to research to find a cure for the disease. Sponsored shooters at the event will have five minutes to make as many free throws as possible. Pledges are made with as a flat donation or on a per-basket basis. Participants and spectators will enjoy food, music, celebrity shooters and more.
