Chelsea Handler to appear in Columbus

Chelsea Handler, star of The Chelsea Handler Show on the E! Network, is coming to Columbus for one show only. She will be appearing at the Capitol Theatre on Nov. 9 at 8 p.m.

Tickets go on sale July 13 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased at The Capitol Theatre Box office, by calling 614-469-0939, or through Ticketmaster at 614-431-3600 or ticketmaster.com. Tickets are $32.50. Chelsea Handler in Columbus is presented by Mills Entertainment and Outback Concerts.
As one of the nation’s fastest-rising comediennes, Handler has performed stand-up at venues and festivals throughout the country including the Montreal Comedy Festival and the HBO Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen.

Last March, her first half-hour stand-up special, airing on Comedy Central, was a ratings hit. A recurring correspondent for “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” Chelsea was the star of Oxygen’s Girls Behaving Badly for its first four seasons. She has made guest star appearances on shows such as Comedy Central’s Reno 911, ABC’s My Wife and Kids, FOX’s The Bernie Mac Show and David E. Kelley’s The Practice. Chelsea can also be seen on her hit show on E! The Chelsea Handler Show.

Chelsea’s first book, My Horizontal Life: A Collection of One Night Stands, published by Bloomsbury, was recently released in the U.S. and more than 20 other countries. It has become a bestseller on several lists. Her follow up book, Are you there Vodka, it’s me Chelsea, will be coming out in 2008.

Chelsea will soon be breaking into the world of male-dominated late-night talk shows with her new E! Entertainment series, Chelsea Lately, set to premiere July 16.
