Gallery 202 will host a special art activity day, "Windows in the Ocean" Art and Learning Day, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. June 6 at its 38 N. State St. location.
The activity day is based around the "Window into the Ocean" exhibit running June 2-27 at the gallery. The exhibit contains photos from from Cheryl and Doug Kneisley, who have captured underwater snapshots from their travels for years. The Kneisleys are also Gallery 202 members who have presented workshops for young artists for several years.
The Art and Learning Day will have activities for young kids, young adults and adult. Children may complete art projects based on the underwater photographs, while older kids and adults can learn about scuba diving, underwater photography, coral reefs and marine life, as well as how human actions can protect their environments.
In addition to the learning and activity day, there will also be an artist reception from 5-9 p.m. June 20 at the gallery. For more information about the exhibit, visit www.gallery202online.com.
