Gahanna Chosen as 2008 BIA Parade of Homes Site!
As the BIA Parade of Homes at Pinnacle in Grove City heads into the final weekend allowing visitors the chance to experience 11 fully decked-out, new luxury homes, the Building Industry Association (BIA) has announced the location for the 2008 Parade of Homes will be at the Village at Hannah Park in Gahanna
“We are very excited to bring the BIA Parade of Homes back to the City of Gahanna,” says Jim Hilz, executive director of the BIA. “And the City of Gahanna sees great value in what the Parade of Homes will bring to Gahanna – and what Gahanna can offer visitors to their community.” Hilz said the timing is also great for Gahanna.
“With the opening of Gahanna Creekside – visitors to the 2008 BIA Parade of Homes will get to experience a beautiful new community and new homes at the Village at Hannah Park – but will also be able to experience the amenities of new dining options and retail shops at Creekside,” he says.
Manor Homes is the developer of the 60 lots/40-acre development Village at Hannah Farm located on Gahanna’s northeastern boundary in Jefferson Township. Developer Brad Yates says the heavily treed community will have a very nice feel to it, noting more than half of the lots back up to Hannah Park or wetland reserves. Manor has dedicated 9 acres of heavily wooded land to the Park (Hannah Park) for the additional Park enhancements that will be made by the City of Gahanna.
Yates said Mayor Rebecca Stinchcomb has stated the City’s commitment and support as host city in making the 2008 Parade of Homes a “signature event.” Gahanna hosted the 2001 Parade at Stepping Stone in Jefferson Township. Stinchcomb said Gahanna is very excited to host the 2008 BIA Parade of Homes.
“We are also very proud of the City/Township partnership that worked through several hurdles resulting in the annexation and zoning requirements that conformed to Jefferson Township’s standards – in particular the 150-foot setbacks from Reynoldsburg-New Albany Rd,” says Stinchcomb.
“This will be a big year for Gahanna,” adds Stinchcomb. “With Creekside opening – and being the host city for the BIA Parade of Homes. Gahanna is thrilled to have this kind of move-up housing stock available to our residents.”
Hilz says community support really enhances the value the Parade of Homes brings to the host city, noting Grove City’s support and dedication to the success of the 2007 Parade of Homes since the announcement last spring.
“Grove City has been a strong Parade supporter leading up to the Parade and the residents of Grove City came out to see the best our BIA builders had to offer,” says Hilz. “The BIA of Central Ohio greatly appreciates the graciousness, enthusiasm and hospitality extended by all of Grove City.”
In wrapping up the 2007 BIA Parade of Homes, Hilz says it has been a stellar journey for builders, Grove City and the Pinnacle developers.
“Pinnacle provided an absolutely beautiful setting for this year’s Parade, and it is a jewel – not just for Grove City – but for all of Central Ohio,” he says. “The amenities offered at Pinnacle, from the Community Center, to the world-class Golf Club, provides residents with a wonderful place to live and play.”
A lot draw for builders for the 2008 BIA Parade of Homes will be held this summer. Dates for the 2008 show will also be announced at that time.
