1. Happy Birthday, ProMusica!
The ProMusica Chamber Orchestra’s Happy Birthday ProMusica performance is Jan. 10 at 5:30 p.m. and Jan. 11 at 7 p.m. at the Southern Theatre.
The performance will feature Peter Schickele's 1994 commissioned work Thurber's Dogs, with animation of James Thurber's drawings by students from the Ohio State University's Advanced Computing Center for Arts and Design. www.promusicacolumbus.org.
2. While You're in Mood for Music...
The Columbus Symphony Orchestra’s Classical Season Opening Night is Jan. 10 at 8 p.m. at Veterans Memorial.

3. January's Bloom.
Franklin Park Conservatory’s Orchid Forest opens Jan. 10 at Franklin Park Conservatory (running through March 1).
Come and witness thousands of bright pink, yellow, orange, lime green and purple blooms transforming the Pacific Island Water Garden. www.fpconservatory.org.
4. History, Revisited.
Echoes in Time Theatre: An Evening with the Post, America's Most Read Magazine will be presented by the Ohio Historical Center from Jan. 8-29.
Find out how The Saturday Evening Post became one of America's most widely read magazines and launched the career of its best-loved illustrator, Norman Rockwell, from one of its editors. 5. New Year, New Run.
The Columbus Blue Jackets' Inaugural Rink Run is Jan. 10 beginning at Nationwide Arena at 9 a.m.
This 1-mile race, hosted by the Blue Jackets, will be held inside Nationwide Arena. Participants are welcome to walk, run, or jog and the race is open to all ages. Kids 10 and under are encouraged to participate in the ¼ mile Nash Dash. Registration fee includes a game ticket, commemorative t-shirt & complimentary Tim Hortons! www.bluejackets.com.

High School Musical: The Ice Tour will be held at Nationwide Arena Jan. 6 and Jan. 7. Shows are at 7:30 p.m. each night.
