Five Things to do this week (Aug. 13-19):
CityScene Keeps your social calendar filled!

1. CAPA presents Festival Latino (Sat.-Sun. Aug. 14-15)

Come to Genoa Park this weekend to celebrate Latino Cultural Heritage with authentic food, music, dance and vendors. It’s the largest event of its kind in Ohio – so don’t miss out on any of the fun. www.festivallatino.net

2. PBJ and Jazz – Yubambe Latin Jazz (11 a.m. Sat. Aug. 14)

Bring the whole family to the Topiary Park at the Columbus Metropolitan Library for storytime at 11 a.m., live music at 12 p.m. and hands-on art activities starting at 1 p.m. It’s an interactive experience, so bring your blankets and a picnic. The Latin sounds of Yubambe will be the perfect accompaniment to Festival Latino – in collaboration with Jazz Arts Group, the Library, Columbus Museum of Art and Friends of the Topiary Park. www.jazzartsgroup.org

3. North Market Farmer’s Festival (8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Sat. Aug. 14)

Farmer’s Market season is in full swing, and to celebrate the nature’s bounty, the North Market is hosting the Farmer’s Festival with live bands all day, face painting, food competitions and over 25 participating farms. It’s one of the biggest events of its kind in the city, so don’t come early and get your fill of honest-to-goodness food. www.northmarket.com

4. The Goat or Who is Sylvia? (Wed. Aug. 18)

Edward Albee’s iconoclastic drama starts out realistically, but soon devolves into lunacy with a family drama involving a goat. Evolution Theatre Company presents the play in studio two of the Riffe Center and is not recommended anyone under the age of 17. The show opens Wednesday and continues through the 26th. www.evolutiontheatre.org

5. Alison Arngrim – Book Signing (7 p.m. Thu. Aug 19)

Arngrim, the actress who portrayed Nellie Oleson on Little House on the Prairie, will sign copies of her newest work, Confessions of a Prairie Bitch: How I survived Nellie Oleson and Learned to Love Being Hated. It’s sure to be an interesting night at the Barnes and Noble at the Lennox Town Center on Olentangy River Road, especially considering the flack Arngrim has received over the years for Oleson’s bad-girl behavior. www.bn.com
