The Works: Ohio Center for History, Art & Technology will celebrate its 11th annual Cocktails by the Fire fundraiser benefiting its Glass Studio on Saturday, February 6, at 6:30 p.m. This year’s theme celebrates the Psychedelic 60s. Enjoy bountiful appetizers featuring local eateries, a cash bar featuring theme-based specialty cocktails in limited edition hand-blown tumblers and draft beer, live music by British Invasion band The Moon Bats, and amazing glass blowing. Get out those groovy bell bottoms and Jackie O. pillbox hats, or just add a touch of British pop to your casual cocktail attire. Reservations for Cocktails by the Fire are $40 per person for members of The Works and $50 per person for Non-Members. To register, visit www.attheworks.org, call The Works at 740-349-9277, or RSVP in person at The Works, 55 S. 1st Street, Newark, Ohio 43055.
As a fundraising event benefiting The Works Glass Studio, guests are invited to watch as professional glass artists craft unique blown-glass pieces that are auctioned during Cocktails by the Fire. All proceeds benefit The Works Glass Studio, which serves as a unique community resource for STEM education and the arts in Licking County and beyond.
