Dublin picks grand marshal for Independence Day festivities

 

The City of Dublin has selected Dublin resident Mack Parkhill as the grand marshal for the 2009 Independence Day Parade and Celebration, according to the city's Web site. Parkhill will lead the parade and oversee the July 4 celebration.

 

Parkhill has recently served as a committee member for the Dublin Veterans Project. He served as a pilot in the United States Air Force, and for the past 13 years has volunteered as a docent at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force, in the Dayton area. He specializes in World War II aviation history.
