Jan Horvath and Debbie Gravitte will once again thrill Central Ohio’s Broadway aficionados, this time adding fellow Soprano Anne Runolfsson to the program (2006’s performance featured Horvath, Gravitte, and Christiane Noll). Audience favorite and Columbus Pops mainstay Albert-George Schram will conduct.
All three stars have performed in some of Broadway’s most unforgettable shows; Gravitte won a Tony Award in the Best Featured Actress category for her role in Jerome Robbins’ Broadway—Chicago and Les Miserables are also among her many credits. Horvath was a member of the original Broadway company of The Phantom of the Opera where she performed the roles of Christine and Carlotta. Other Broadway credits include Stardust, Oliver! and more.
Runolfsson is currently starring on Broadway as Carlotta in The Phantom of the Opera, prior to which she gained notoriety in Victor/Victoria as standby to Julie Andrews and Liza Minelli. She was recently the featured soloist for The Lord of The Rings Symphonic Suite (singing in Elfin). Additionally, all three performers have been featured soloists with the world’s most highly regarded symphonies and performers.
The three leading ladies will perform solos and duets from classical and modern hits including Wicked, West Side Story, A Chorus Line, Phantom of the Opera, Gypsy and more, in two acts with a single intermission and a single brief encore. Please mention this event in any print previews, arts/events calendars, blogs, podcasts, broadcast segments, etc. over the next seven days.
