Community raising money for veteran Honor Flight

The Westerville community is asking for help in supporting Honor Flight Columbus, with a goal to raise $15,000 to sponsor a "Westerville" Honor Flight Oct. 10, 2009.

Honor Flight Columbus escorts America's World War II veterans to Washington, D.C. to create an unforgettable experience at memorials dedicated in honor of their service and sacrifice. The experience includes a plane trip and stops at the World War II memorial and Arlington National Cemetery. The trip is provided at no cost to veterans as a token of gratitude and respect.

Visit www.honorflightcolumbus.org for more information about Honor Flight Columbus or to make a donation. Donations can also be made via check, which is payable to Honor Flight Columbus, 2185 Ridgecliff Rd., Columbus, 3221. A Westerville mailing address will ensure that the funds go towards the Westerville sponsored Honor Flight.
