It's a party with a mission: to build up a Dublin landmark in the making.

The community member-organized Red White and Blue Bash will be held from 6:30-10 p.m. May 1 at the Village of Coffman Park's Community Center, 5555 Wall St. Tickets are $300 per couple. The cost includes a permanent dedication stone at the Grounds of Remembrance, dinner, beverages, dessert and entertainment. According to organizer Sandy Morckel, the event will help more community members become invested in the Grounds of Remembrance project and memorial, which will be unveiled in a special ceremony at noon on May 25.
