It’s the summer where Dexter, Scooby-Doo and Dinosaurs reign supreme at COSI! COSI's new traveling exhibit Animation featuring Cartoon Network and Dinosaurs Alive 3D on the 7-story Extreme Screen is now open.
In Animation’s stimulating and fun environment, visitors will explore the process of animation, which brings together art, math, science, and technology, surrounded by colorful, larger-than-life graphics of popular cartoon characters and original series from Cartoon Network. Visitors will see characters from Dexter’s Laboratory, Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends as well as popular Hanna-Barbera characters such as Scooby-Doo and the Flintstones.
Visitors will bring their own creations to life by experimenting with storyboarding, character design, drawing techniques, movement, timing, filming, sound and editing. A variety of animation tools, techniques and styles will be explored, including drawings, stop-motion animation, and computer animation. Admission to the Animation exhibit is included with regular COSI admission.
Animation runs through Sept. 3, 2007.
Dinosaurs Alive 3D jumps off COSI’s 7-story Extreme Screen theater with spectacular animation and a live-action story that joins renowned paleontologists in the field as they uncover new fossils, including the remarkable discovery of what may be the oldest dinosaur ever found in North America.
Stunningly realistic computer generated imagery (CGI) is combined with intriguing 1920’s documentary footage of real life dinosaur hunter Roy Chapman Andrews to bring these pre-historic creatures to life on the giant screen. Dinosaurs run through Dec. 31, 2007
