1. BIA Parade of Homes presents Genevieve Gorder (2 p.m. Sat. July 31)
Genevieve Gorder, Star of HGTV shows like Dear Genevieve and The Next Design Star, will appear at a speaking engagement, Q&A and meet and greet at the BIA Parade of Homes in New Albany on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the pavilion stage. 2. 11th Annual Hope Street Kids Family Night at the Zoo
(6:30 – 10 p.m. Sat. July 31)
Come out to the zoo after hours for a barbecue by Bob Evans Farms with live music in support of Hope Street Kids, founded in honor of the memory of Caroline Pryce Walker, a young girl who lost the battle to neuroblastoma, a rare childhood cancer. Hope Street Kids now funds research at the Children’s Oncology Group at Nationwide Hospital (among other hospitals in Ohio). www.hopestreetkids.org

3. Columbus Wine Festival (4 p.m. – 10 p.m. Fri. and 3 p.m. – 9 p.m. Sat.)
Franklin Park Conservatory presents the second annual Columbus Wine Festival July 30-31 with a variety of tastings, food and wine education, live music and Belgian Beer Café presented by Stella Artois. Come down and enjoy the lovely ambience of Franklin Park while enjoying some of the finest vino and noshes Columbus has to offer. 4. 17th Annual Taste of UA (3:30-8:30 p.m. Thu. Aug. 5).
This year, the Taste of UA takes place on Thursday instead of the typical Tuesday—so save the date. Come to Northam Park to try sample-sized versions of the tastiest fare UA has to offer. This year, for the second time ever, the Beer garden will also be open. The annual event draws thousands, so don’t miss it! www.uachamber.org

5. The Dublin Irish Festival 5k (7 p.m. Thu. Aug. 5)
Kick the Irish Fest off right with a 5k run/walk through historic Old Dublin. Families are encouraged to attend this all-ages 5k sponsored by IGS Energy. After the 5k, find a babysitter and grab an adult Irish beverage at the Dub Crawl, a pub crawl featuring live music in the best pubs Dublin has to offer. www.irishfestrun.com

6. BONUS! Shadowbox presents Back To the Garden (8 p.m. Sun. Aug. 1)
Come experience Shadowbox’s wildly successful original musical Back to the Garden outdoors at the Schiller Park Amphitheatre. This one-time-only FREE outdoor performance will feature songs like “With a little help from my friends,” “White Rabbit” and “Take another little piece of my heart,” with additional actors on an expansive outdoor stage – so bring a lawn chair and your favorite tie-dye t-shirts.
