CAPA has added three shows to its 2007-08 schedule. Tickets for all three events will be on sale at the Ohio Theatre Ticket Office, 39 E. State St., and Ticketmaster outlets, or at www.ticketmaster.com.
The shows include
Late Night Catechism, Sept. 28-Nov. 18, Studio Two, Riffe Center. Tickets, $40.
Go to the head of the class with Late Night Catechism, a humorous play that takes audiences back to days gone by when nuns ran the classroom with a rosary in one hand and a ruler in the other. In this interactive theatre experience, the irrepressible Sister takes on a new classroom every night, rewarding "students" (the audience) with glow-in-the-dark rosaries. Naughty students also get their due, and may find themselves sitting in a corner on stage. Even the most reluctant students will be clamoring to get into this Sister's class!
David Sedaris, Oct. 12, 8 p.m., Palace Theatre.
David Sedaris may be the closest thing the literary world has these days to a rock star. His speaking engagements are typically standing-room only, which is a far cry from his early days as a house cleaner in New York City. His sardonic wit and incisive social critique have since made him one of America's preeminent humor writers, with his books including Me Talk Pretty One Day, Naked and Holidays on Ice.
Playhouse Disney Live! Nov. 2, 7 p.m.; Nov. 3, noon and 3 p.m., Palace Theatre
Blast off to adventure with your favorite Playhouse Disney pals. Climb aboard and get ready to explore with the Little Einstein's Leo, Annie, Quincy and June; say "Meeska, Mooska, Mickey Mouse" and sing along with Mickey and the gang at the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse; and stop by Sheetrock Hills where Handy Manny always has the right tools for fun fix-it adventures! There will also be much more for the audience to sing, laugh and play along to!
