Nationally-renowned sculptor and children's book author George Carruth will be featured at the Polaris Garden Smiles, Dec. 2 from 6 to 8 p.m., Dec. 9 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Dec. 15 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Since 1983, Carruth has produced more than 300 original designs for the home and garden. He left the corporate world and founded his own business with his wife Deb.
Carruth's portfolio includes a commission from the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., as well as an ornament for the White House Christmas Tree. His sculptures are sold in more than 3,500 retail stores nationwide.
In addition to his sculpting, Carruth has delved into children's picture books. The second edition of his first book, The Boy Who Loved Bird, was recently released, along with the first edition of the second book, What Stinks? Both books are sold at all Garden Smiles locations, as well as at www.gardensmiles.com
