Boy Scout Troop 192 reaches 100 Eagle Scout mark, receives award

 

Westerville Boy Scout Troop 192 will receive a special recognition from the Westerville City Council, according to a press release. The award recongizes the troop for having its 100th scout acheive the rank of Eagle Scout.

 

City Council will present the award at 7 p.m. March 17, during the council's regularly scheduled meeting. The Scouts will open the meeting with a flag ceremony before accepting their award. 

 

Troop 192 is one of the oldest troops in the Simon Kenton Council. It honored its first and 100th Eagle Scouts in a ceremony March 1. The Simon Kenton Council is one of the largest Boy Scout councils in the nation. It serves 17 counties in central and southern Ohio and 6 counties in northern Kentucky and offers scouting programs to more than 40,000 youth.
