Melon Festival
From Sept. 5-7 at the Village Square in Milan, you can participate in a “big wheelie” race, a melon-eating contest or a two-hour parade. The Melon Festival also has an antique car show, arts and crafts and plenty of melons in all shapes and sizes. www.milanohio.com.
The International Sunflower Festival

Fall Equinox Festival

Applefest

From Field to Table Festival
The From Field to Table Festival at Columbus’ Franklin Part Conservatory, Sept. 11-13, offers visitors the opportunity to learn from a wide range of educational programs. Lithopolis Honeyfest

Elyria Apple Festival
The festival, which began in 1980, is Sept. 18-20 in Elyria. It includes an apple pie baking contest, decorated bike parade and a 5k race. www.elyriaapplefestival.com.
Country Living Fair
The Ohio Historical Center/Ohio Village hosts the Country Living Fair from Sept. 18-20, including antiques, crafts, food tastings, cooking demonstrations and a harvest market. www.stellashows.com.
Ohio Proud Fall Harvest
Easton Town Center hosts this festival Sept. 19, with samples of Ohio Proud products from salsas and mustards to butter toffee. Pumpkinfest at Pigeon Roost Farm
This farm in Hebron celebrates its 25th anniversary of growing with Pumpkinfest, from Sept. 19 through Nov. 1. The event features antique displays, barnyard animals, pumpkins, squash, Indian corn and gourds. There will also be a “Kids Korner,” the Old Farm Store and a Country Store. www.pigeonroostfarm.com.
Harvest Moon Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch

Ohio Gourd Show

Fall-O-Ween Festival
Held at Coney Island in Cincinnati, Fall-O-Ween lets you experience the tastes and aromas of the fall season. Fall Fun Days Harvest Festival
Grove City’s Circle S Farms host hayrides, a 6-acre corn maze, sunflower maze, Scarecrow Cave, a petting zoo, entertainment, bonfire parties and more. The festival, held from late September through Oct. 31, also includes a full service bakery and the Pumpkin Café. www.circlesfarm.com.

North Market Harvest Festival

TWIG Pumpkinpalooza
On Oct. 3, Lynd Fruit Farm in Pataskala opens up for the inaugural Pumpkinpalooza, sponsored by TWIG (Together With Important Goals) at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. It will include food, hayrides, a pumpkin patch, games and an outdoor concert to raise money for the Memorial Tournament Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the hospital. www.nationwidechildrens.org.
Bob Evans Farm Festival

Circleville Pumpkin Show
There is nothing like a giant pumpkin to symbolize the arrival of autumn, especially one from Ohio’s oldest festival, the Circleville Pumpkin Show, Oct. 21-24. The festival includes seven parades, entertainment, contests and a sample of pumpkin-flavored delicacies. www.pumpkinshow.com.
