This weekend take a walk on the wild side with Shadowbox Live’s new performance Scandalous. This sinful, outrageous and wicked sketch comedy and rock n’ roll show will make audiences gasp with shock.
The show features two hours of rock n’ roll and totally original sketch comedy about personal secrets and skeletons in the closet. The human hunger for drama has inspired this show with scenes such as Breaking News in which newscasters lose their cool, A Date with Adele, discovering the inspiration behind her emotional songs, and Dirty Laundry, in which two newlyweds discover some less than endearing things about each other. Featured songs include I Write Sins Not Tragedies by Panic! At the Disco, Lies of the Beautiful People by Sixx A.M. and Rehab by Amy Winehouse.
Shadowbox Live is a non-profit performance group and the largest resident theater company in the country, producing more than 500 shows every year. The arts organization has been putting together top-notch performances for more than 20 years, ranging from musicals and rock operas to drama, dance and sketch comedy.
Scandalous opens Thursday, March 24, and runs through May 21, with performances on Fridays and Saturdays. The show premiers Thursday at 7:30 p.m. and each weekend there are two shows on Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30 p.m. and at 10:30 p.m. For more information and reservations, contact the Shadowbox Live box office at 614-416-7625 or online.
