A variety show featuring rock music, fashion, comedy, dance and magic will be held at 8 p.m.
on Dec. 19 at Strongwater Food & Spirits to benefit the fight against cancer.
At the Columbus Rocks the Cure Holiday Spectacular, local bands will include Friendly Faux, Trachete, Vikki V and The Electric Hand. Brooke Cartus will emcee, and she'll share the stage with fellow comedians Kyle Tolliver and Dustin Meadows. Attendees can also enjoy a runway show courtesy of Alternative Fashion Mob along with dance performances by Seven Studios.
“It’ll be unlike any show you’ve ever seen in Columbus,” says organizer and Columbus Rocks the Cure founder, Amee BellWanzo in a written statement. “You’ll see bands, comedians, runway shows, dance numbers and magic, all in rapid-fire succession.”
Columbus Rocks the Cure, a program of charitable organization Cross Media Collective, has partnered with local organization Hope Hollow, which offers free lodging for those who are being treated for cancer and their families. All event proceeds will help patients pay for gas, medical equipment, food, or other similar incidental expenses.
General admission standing room tickets are $15, and reserved seating is $25. Tickets can be purchased at www.universe.com/spectacular. For information about the event, visit www.columbusrocksthecure.org.
