Dublin resident's invention included in Oscar gift bags

Will Kate Winslet win her sixth Oscar? Whether she does or doesn’t, she will still be a winner. If she doesn’t take home the Oscar, she will receive a Secrets of Life & Words of Wisdom LLD, providing her with daily inspiration and words of wisdom.

Marty Lee Parker, a Dublin resident, is the creator of Life Learning Devices, which were chosen by Distinctive Assets to be included in the gift bag given to this year’s non-winning Academy Award nominees.

A Life Learning Device (LLD) is a new communication tool revolutionizing how people receive motivation and wisdom on a consistent basis. When the button on the LLD is pressed, it verbally relays quotes, mantras and positive belief systems of some of history’s greatest achievers.

People place LLDs beside their coffee pot, on the dresser or on their desk. As part of their daily routine they press it to hear Vince Lombardi, Henry Ford, Amelia Earhart, Mark Twain, Aristotle or Ralph Waldo Emerson  and others share their secrets of life and words of wisdom. An LLD plays a new quote or secret of life every day for 365 days.

“Although I am a fan of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, it would be shame if they both won for best actor and actress. Neither one of them would get to take home an LLD. This LLD would be fantastic on their breakfast table to pass on words of wisdom to children everyday,” Parker says .
