A Walk for Blake
Fundraiser to benefit UAHS senior

The Blake Haxton Walk-a-Thon is May 30 at the Upper Arlington High School Athletic Field. Registration begins at 8 a.m., followed by the walk from 9 a.m. to noon.

Proceeds raised from the event will benefit UA High School Senior Blake Haxton, who acquired Necrotizing Fasciitis (NF) in March. The flesh-eating bacteria caused him to undergo a double leg amputation.

Prior to his diagnosis, Haxton planned to attend Harvard University and join the rowing team.

In an effort to both educate the public on NF and raise contributions to assist with Haxton’s prosthetics and mobility therapy, the Haxton family has faciliated this walk-a-thon event.

For more information on the event, Haxton's progress and how to donate, visit www.blakescrew.org.
